Ultimate Cozy Cabins Around The World

Fall is the perfect time to get outdoors and explore! What better way to spend those cozy nights than in a cabin!

Tennessee USA

The Smokies are known for their great views and being the most visited US National Park. Staying in a cabin is one of the best ways to spend time in the Great Smoky Mountains; the hard part is finding a great one. This cabin is 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge, TN; close enough to the city to go into town without having to deal with the Smoky Mountain crowds if you don’t want to. The cabin has two main bedrooms and a loft on the third floor making it perfect for a larger group.

This cabin, like most in the Smokies, has a very specific style. It’s a log cabin with an all-wood interior. Chunky wood furniture, bears, plaid, and cozy rugs bring the mountain feel inside. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to take in the views without having to be outside.

Find hiking sticks and trail maps to point you toward the nearby trails. A pool table, foosball, and arcade games to keep the group entertained when indoors. The double-deck is also a great way to take in the early morning mist or evening sunset. The highlight of the cabin is a hot tub with the best views of the mountains.

Getaway provides a unique opportunity to disconnect from daily life and relax in nature while enjoying similar comforts and amenities to that of a hotel or Airbnb.

Their cozy cabins come in various sizes and are equipped with everything you need! Each cabin has AC/heat, a bed(s), a bathroom, shampoo and conditioner, pots and pans, a mini-fridge, stove, salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee and tea, an outdoor fire pit, picnic table, and chairs, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows (with shades in case you want them).

The cabins are also dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your pup along to relax with you.

Getaway has locations all over the United States, most of which are less than two hours away from a major city, and Texas is no exception! Austin, Houston, and Dallas all offer Getaway escapes.

Nestled deep in the heart of Texas, Wimberley is a small, quaint town in Hays County, known for its “true Texas culture” and slower pace of life. Being the gem of the Texas Hill Country that it is, it’s the perfect place for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life (or for a mid-week getaway if you’re looking for cheaper rates).

Wimberley is also known to have lots of hiking and outdoor activities, as well as several wineries. Here are some ideas for exploring beyond your cabin:

  • Old Baldy Trail
  • Cypress Creek Nature Trail
  • Blue Hole Regional Park
  • Driftwood Estate Winery and Vineyard
  • Devil’s Backbone Drive

Booking a cabin is easy and can be done online at Getaway’s website. All you do is choose an outpost, pick a cabin size, and select dates. Getaway will handle everything else – and their communication is impeccable!

Washington USA

Mount Rainier National Park is a hiker’s paradise, with gorgeous trails and mountain views – and just outside the park, you’ll find the cozy Millard’s Cabin. Located in Packwood, Washington, the cabin is easy to get to but feels far away from everything!

The cabin has a rustic cedar hot tub, along with a bonfire pit and mountain views right in your backyard. As an added bonus, it’s also dog friendly – and is even named after the owners’ pup, Millard Fillmore.

The cute blue exterior welcomes you in, and once you’re inside, you’ll find absolutely everything you need for a cozy getaway – a full kitchen, electric fireplace, games and puzzles, and plenty of seating. Upstairs is the loft with an angled ceiling and adorable string lights, and there are additional beds in the bunkhouse, so the cabin can host up to 8 people – though it’s best for couples or small groups!

The cabin can be booked through Airbnb, or directly through their website. Airbnb allows you to split up your payment into two, making your getaway a little easier on the wallet. But, booking through the website saves you some money by avoiding Airbnb fees!

You can visit Millard’s Cabin any time of year, and whether you stay in or go out to explore the park or see the elk that live in the area, it’s the perfect cozy getaway.

Washington USA

One of the best cabins in Washington State is the famous Sky Haus cabin located near Skykomish, Washington. This cabin is a cute A-Frame structure with a hot tub right in front of it. People love to go to this cozy cabin and take photos inside the tub because it is a very Instagram famous cabin. This is a perfect girl’s night getaway.

The cabin is big enough for four people (in the loft) and has a double bed and three single beds, and it also features a gas fireplace, a cute kitchen, and a beautiful backyard that gives you all the Pacific Northwest mossy vibes. One of the best things about this cabin is that they allow dogs to stay over, which is great because it can be challenging to find Airbnbs in Washington that permit dogs. It is also near many great Washington hikes like Barclay Lake, Serene Lake, and Heybrook Lookout. Winter is a great time to visit because it is only minutes away from the Stevens Pass skiing resort.

You can book this cabin on Airbnb, and the owner has two more A-Frames you can book, which are called Tye Haus and Foss Haus.

If you are exploring the Redwood Forests of California, what better way than to sleep among the towering giants.

The bright red Adirondack chairs on the front porch of the Fern Hook cabin are a welcoming sight as you arrive for your stay at this cozy cabin nestled among the giant redwoods.

To book your stay, visit the Airbnb site and link to the Fern Hook Vacation Cabin. The cabin features a living room, small kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms with queen-sized beds. The cabin can sleep up to six people with additional space on the couch and an air mattress.

Located not too far from the small hamlet of Hiouchi, California, you will love the tranquil, secluded setting of these recently built cabins. You have the best of both worlds with the Pacific Ocean approximately 15 miles to the west and the mighty redwood forest all around.

Before you retire for the evening, drive a short distance to Stout Memorial Grove to walk along the 1-mile loop through a redwood grove. Since there is no television or internet available at the cabin, this magnificent scenery will help you wind down for the night.

Planning to visit Jedediah Smith State Park during your stay, home to the most old-growth redwoods per acre of all of California’s parks? You’re in luck as the cabin is just a short drive from the park’s entrance.

One of the coziest cabins in the world is nestled in the temperate rainforest of the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Fern Gully is located on Vancouver Island in the small community of Jordan River. Fern Gully actually has three nearly-identical cabins for rent on the same property: The Cypress Cabin, The Grand Fir Cabin, and the Redwood Cabin.

You can easily book the cabin on Airbnb, and contact the hosts on Instagram at @ferngullycabins if you have any questions. While it’s not exactly an “off-grid” cabin, it should be treated as such. Bathrooms are just outside of the cabins (a pit toilet) and there is no wifi or cell service. While the kitchenette is small (one-burner), the cabin provides sufficient tools and amenities to make small meals on-site. You can also bring your own outdoor cooking tools and cook over the campfire!

One of the main draws of Ferngully cabins is their luxurious outdoor shower! While Canada may be cold year-round, the outdoor shower is certainly not! It’s quite the magical experience to take a shower with the sounds of birdsong and the rushing river right outside the partition walls.

Fern Gully Cabins is an excellent cabin to book when planning a Vancouver Island road trip. The cabin is on the way to iconic island locations like Port Renfrew, East Sooke Park, and Lake Cowichan. Don’t forget to bring your surfboard!

Nestled into the coastal rainforest and steps away from the ocean, Peace Cabin is a hygge hideaway. The Scandi-styled home is located in Ucluelet on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It’s close to the surf-town of Tofino and gorgeous hiking and beaches in nearby Pacific Rim National Park. Peace Cabin is one of the coziest cabins near Vancouver

The owners designed the cabin to be a purposeful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The blond wood interior has tons of huge windows and skylights that look out on the rainforest. Both bedrooms are designed as sleeping capsules with cushy queen beds and skylights that let you stargaze. You can also see the forest from the big soaker tub in the bathroom.

You can cook meals in the full kitchen or drive into the town of Ucluelet for dinner at a local restaurant. The covered deck provides an outdoor hang-out spot even in rainy weather and includes a barbecue, seating area, and fireplace, perfect for roasting marshmallows.

The cabin is set up to cater to surfers and hikers. It has a hot outdoor shower and a covered drying area for your wetsuits, hiking boots, and rain jackets. But if you just want to relax, the comfy L-shaped couch, gas fireplace, and board games have you covered. You can book a stay at Peace Cabin on Airbnb and follow them on Instagram.

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, only a few kilometers away from the iconic Lake Louise is the Baker Creek Mountain Resort. This cozy mountain resort is perfectly located in the wilderness of Banff National Park, near the Castle Mountain junction. The area is breathtaking. The resort consists of the main building and a few log wood cabins. A creek runs around the resort and there are trees everywhere. You may even be lucky and see some wild animals. It’s a year-round destination where you can relax and unplug in nature.

Baker Creek Mountain Resort offers luxury log cabins. Most cabins have a wood fireplace and a small kitchenette. Other cabins have a beautiful bath to relax in.

At the resort, you’ll find communal outdoor fire pits along the creek. In the winter, there is a nice ice rink. The resort also offers complimentary snowshoes and sled rentals to enjoy the trails around the resort. In the main building, you’ll also find a fitness center including a gym, a steam room, and a sauna.

Baker Creek Mountain Resort is the perfect place to unplug. With its location, you need to know that WIFI is spotty. It’s not ideal for remote workers.
