Now this blog may have many parts to it, but I thought I would share the start of our BBQ journey.
Living in the NOVA area, there are many delicious BBQ places! Sam and I decided we wanted to try a bunch of different ones. So-we decided to do a BBQ Hop (Almost like a bar hop-but not all in one day, and not beer lol)
Monk’s BBQ
Our first stop was Monk’s BBQ, in the heart of Purcellville, VA, right off the W&OD trail. All their meat is smoked (as all BBQ meat should be 😊). They have an assortment of drinks-including Cheerwine!
Available on the menu is different meats: pork, chicken, or brisket…the list goes on! There are many delicious sides you can choose from too—We tried the baked beans, potato salad, and corn bread. The best are their sauces! These are located at a few stations across the restaurant. There are an assortment of sauces-ranging from mild to hot and a few other unique flavors.
They have desserts as well, banana pudding, dirt pudding, and seasonal cheesecake.
There are plenty of seats available, including an outside pavilion. We highly recommend this place, it was a great first stop on our BBQ journey, we look forward to many more delicious places!
