Welcome! We are Sam and Emily Dalton. We love to travel. Let’s call it a hobby of ours. Here is a little bit about us…
We were married in October of 2017 at a beautiful location in Culpeper, VA. We met in 2015 and dated for almost a year then got engaged in December 2016. That’s when our love for travel started growing. We both work full-time jobs in the northern VA area which keeps us pretty busy, but we would love to travel full-time as well, hence this blog. We are documenting our travels, whether they be local or international, one destination at a time!
HOW DO WE TRAVEL?
Now you might have heard of full-time travelers and bloggers. That is not us at all. We hope to one day get to that point, but for now, it is just a hobby we love to do. Most of our travels come within our local state or the surrounding area known as the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia). There are many hiking trails, small towns, and hidden gems we love to explore! We like taking weekend trips to neighboring states in the U.S.A. We use our vacation time from work to travel internationally to see the countries we have on our bucket list.
WHY ARE WE TRAVELING?
Traveling for us opens new opportunities and allows us to explore new areas in the world. We have several different travel goals on our bucket list we want to achieve in our lifetime. To start we each picked 4 countries we wanted to see:
-Emily chose Italy, Spain, South Africa, and Ireland
-Sam chose Iceland, Norway, New Zealand, and Finland.
Then we picked smaller goals we could achieve that are closer to home:
-Emily wants to visit all 50 states and all the US National Parks!
-Sam wants to visit all NBA arenas (Clearly, a big basketball fan).
